Schedule Of The Vice Indonesia Match At The Malaysia Open 2023 Today
JAKARTA - The world number one men's doubles Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto will be wary of the Kang Min Hyuk/Seo Seung Jae pair who have a strong defense ahead of the meeting in the semifinals of the Malaysia Open 2023, Saturday, January 14.
Fajar/Rian assessed that the men's doubles from South Korea had a neat pattern of play, because they could replace their defensive and attacking patterns quickly.
"The opponent in the semifinals is a good double too. They beat Hendra/Ahsan. The Korean representative has a strong defense and a good attack," Fajar was quoted as saying by ANTARA.
Kang/Seo first defeated the world number two pair Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan in the quarter-finals, Friday. In the 54-minute match, Kang/Seo defeated The Daddies with three games 13-21, 21-19, 11-21.
Fajar/Rian should be wary of Kang/Seo's actions, because the Indonesian duo lost their first meeting which took place in the final round of the Korea Open 2022, April.
Not only failing to win the title from Korea, Fajar/Rian's defeat also recorded a temporary meeting record against Kang/Seo with a score of 0-1, as reported by the official website of the Badminton World Federation (BWF).
However, the struggle to win tickets to the final of the Malaysia Open 2023 was not only carried out by Fajar/Rian, but also mixed doubles Dejan Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja and women's doubles Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti.
The two Indonesian doubles will face fierce matches, as they will face the number one pair from each sector.
The following is the schedule for the matches of three Indonesian representatives in the last four of the BWF Super 1000 Malaysia Open 2023 tournament in Kuala Lumpur, today:
