However, from the birth certificate brought by his parents, MF was born on November 5, 2004."Meanwhile, another perpetrator with the initials AD, was born August 28, 2005 or 17 years old," said Kompol Lando.Regarding the application of criminal law for the defendants after it was revealed that one of them had entered the age of 18 years old, he was still subject to Article 80 paragraph 3 of Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection or Article 340 of the Criminal Code, subsidiary to Article 338 of the Criminal Code, subsidiary to Article 170 paragraph 3 with a maximum penalty of 10 years."The article remains the same, only the detention mechanism is different. He (MF) also carries out threats to the Child Protection Law article 80, his status is already an adult, so the juvenile justice system is not treated," he explained.Regarding the findings, Lando said the files would be separated (split) as well as the detention period."The application of punishment is certainly different, the file is separated. For a period of detention if the child is seven days, and can be extended for eight days according to Law No. 11 of 2012 concerning Juvenile Justices if not P21 (mpung)," he told reporters."If you are an adult, the detention period is 20 days, and can be extended by 40 days, as long as the file has not been completed or P21 from the first 20 days of detention," he explained.Kompol Lando said the two of them were still detained at the Makassar Police Criminal Investigation Unit because they were not yet 15 days old. In addition, child perpetrators who are brought by age will be taken to a safe home for psychological recovery. The results of the post-mortem and psychological tests are still awaited."The results of the post-mortem will be given to investigators, it cannot be disclosed publicly because they have not been released, the investigators will submit them later.
