A Number Of Arterial Roads In IKN Are Considered To Be Useable For Aircraft Land

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing/PUPR is considering building a number of primary arterial roads in the State Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago so that they can accommodate aircraft.

"For primary arterial roads, we consider as a basis that can be accommodated by aircraft," said Head of the Task Force (Satgas) for the Implementation of IKN Infrastructure Development at the Ministry of PUPR, Danis Hidayat Sumadilaga in Penajam Paser Utara, East Kalimantan, Friday, January 13.

Danis said it is possible that the length of the IKN arterial road is around 1-2 Km so that it can be accommodated by aircraft.

Several countries have used straight roads to land or become aircraft runways.

"We are currently selecting it in several locations," said Danis as quoted from Antara.

Previously, the Task Force for the Implementation of the State Capital Infrastructure Development (IKN) revealed that it was possible that road infrastructure in IKN Nusantara would adopt and be built with the concept of electric charging lane technology that could help charge electric vehicle batteries.

Conceptually, electric charging lanes are road infrastructure that may help charge batteries installed in electric vehicles when crossing the lane of the road.

This concept has been running in several countries around the world and many have tested it.

The Task Force for the Implementation of the State Capital Infrastructure Development (IKN) as well as the Archipelago is preparing the construction of a multi-utility tunnel or MUT in order to accommodate all water pipe networks to electrical and fiber optic cables at IKN.

Later on IKN there will be no more cable networks installed above the ground surface. In the MUT, when there is a network that must be repaired or replaced, the repair technician just needs to enter the MUT to make repairs.

This MUT infrastructure will also be controlled and supervised by a kind of control room, so that it can detect damage and leakage that occurs in the MUT.

Many things will also be implemented in the context of smart and sustainable as the concept of IKN Nusantara as a new capital city.
