Investigating Witnesses Explain The Reasons For Using The Substitute Actress Of Inspector General Napoleon During The Reconstruction

JAKARTA - Bareskrim Polri investigator Kombes Totok Suharyanto said that the use of stunts for Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte and Brigadier General Prasetijo Utomo during the reconstruction of the case of alleged bribery for the removal of red notice was carried out because investigators had found a criminal construction. Especially at that time, Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte and Brigadier General Prasetijo Utomo refused to demonstrate several scenes.

Totok made the statement in response to a question about his basic or belief using a stunt double. Totok was presented as a witness in the case of alleged bribery for the removal of red notice for the accused Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte.

"My question is what is the basis, you, as the investigator, believe that this incident happened? Even though it must be part of the court ?," Inspector General Napoleon said during a trial at the Corruption Court, Central Jakarta, Monday, December 28.

"Because I know that, the language should not be convinced, sir, but the results of my search and collection of evidence have found the facts of the construction," Totok replied.

Totok explained that there are three reasons for investigators to decide to use a substitute role. The first reason is because there are general similarities between the witnesses.

"The first is related to Joko Tjandra, who has spent money through the secretary, through Nurdin, received by Tommy's brother. It is parallel to CCTV about the time until he ascends to the top, that's the first," he said.

Another reason is that the witness's testimony has similarities with the results of activities and documents issued by the International Relations Division (Divhubinter). Thus, the framework for facts of events is getting stronger.

Finally, there is a statement from the former personal secretary of Inspector General Napoleon, namely, Fransiscus Ario Dumais and Dwi Jayanti Putri. In this statement, it was stated that Tommy Sumardi had visited the Inspector General Napoleon's office.

"Third, the testimony of the witness Putri's sister and Frans's brother also testified that the person concerned was indeed there," he said.

In the case of alleged bribery for the removal of red notice, investigators named four people as suspects. They act as recipients and givers.

Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte and Brigadier General Prasetijo Utomo were named as suspects because they were suspected of being the recipients of bribes for the removal of red notice. Meanwhile, Tommy Sumardi and Djoko Tjandra were named as suspects on suspicion of giving bribes.

Joko Tjandra was charged with paying SGD200 thousand and USD270 thousand to Inspector General Napoleon and USD 150 thousand to Brigadier General Prasetijo.
