UMI Student Who Drowned In Pung Bunga Maros Waterfall Was Found Dead
MAKASSAR - Student named Andi Muhammad Akbar was found dead in the area of Pung Bunga waterfall, Tompobulu, Maros, South Sulawesi. His body was found by the SAR search team.
"At 08.30 WITA, a joint team from the police, BPBD, Damkar, SAR Unhas, KSR UMI, SAR UNM, as well as a team of volunteers and humanitarian aid students of the UMI Industrial Technology Faculty managed to find and evacuate the victim," said the Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technology, Muslim University of Indonesia. The victim drowned on the afternoon of Sunday, December 27. At that time the victim and his friend were on vacation at the Pung Bunga waterfall, Maros.
"The news was first conveyed by the Tompobulu police chief, by telephone yesterday after obtaining the identity of the victim at the scene," said Zakir.
At the request of the family, the victim's body was immediately brought to the funeral home on Jalan Tanggul Kota to be buried.
