Irfan Widyanto Accused Of Obstruction Of Justice In Brigadier J Murder Case Brings Mitigating Witnesses
JAKARTA - Defendant Irfan Widyanto will undergo trial in the case of alleged obstruction of justice in the death of Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J today. He will present a de charge or mitigating witness.
"That's right, Defendant IW is included in the witness a de charge agenda," said South Jakarta District Court public relations official Djuyamto when confirmed, Friday, January 13.
Based on the information, there are three mitigating experts namely criminal experts, ITE experts, and psychologists.
In this case, Irfan Widyanto who won Adhi Makayasa, was allegedly involved in destroying CCTV evidence in the investigation into the death of Brigadier J.
He was charged with taking and replacing the CCTV DVR from around Ferdy Sambo's official residence at the security post in the Polri complex, Duren Tiga, South Jakarta.
Then, the CCTV DVR was handed over to the defendant Chuck Putranto. The recording was then copied by the defendant Biquni Wibowo.
Irfan Widyanto was charged with Article 49 in conjunction with Article 33 subsidiary Article 48 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 32 paragraph (1) of the ITE Law Number 19 of 2016 and/or the second indictment of Article 233 of the Criminal Code subsidiary of Article 221 paragraph (1) 2 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with article 55 paragraph 1 to (1) of the Criminal Code.
