Jay ENHYPEN Sorry After Commenting On Korean History
JAKARTA - Jay ENHYPEN released a letter of apology after making comments about Korean history. This started with a live broadcast that he and fellow group member, Sunghoon.
In the broadcast, Sunghoon said, "I feel Korean history has been very fun in the last few days."
Hearing this, Jay responded and said, "I (choose) world history. I learned a lot about Korean history at school. I don't think there is much information."
"If you study for a few weeks, it will end quickly. It feels like a short story," he continued.
Jay's words drew comments from the public and fans. Jay also made a statement and admitted that he was surprised to see the fan's reaction.
After finishing Weverse Live today, I was surprised to see the fan's reaction. Regardless of the reason, I sincerely apologize to ENGENE for all the inconvenience I did," wrote Jay ENHYPEN.
I speak too negative about the important topic of Korean history based on personal impressions. This is not a topic I can talk about rashly with a little knowledge. Today is my opportunity to realize that I still need to learn a lot, "he continued.
"I don't have the intention to underestimate our proud history but I'm aware my words can make other people feel that way, and this is my fault. I'm sorry," Jay said.
In the future, I will be more careful and learn so that I can become an artist that ENGENE can be proud of. I always learn a lot from you. Thank you," concluded Jay.
