PEKALONGAN - Pekalongan City Government, Central Java, immediately built an emergency market for Senggol Kuripan to accommodate traders selling at the same location, after the market fire.Pekalongan Mayor Afzan Arslan Djunaid said the city government was seeking to establish an emergency market to accommodate traders at Senggol Kuripan Market, who were affected by the fire on Monday, December 26, 2022."The establishment of an emergency market for Senggol Kuripan Market traders is still an option at that location because it is still very possible, where in the market location there are still many vacant lands," he said in Pekalongan, Central Java, Antara, Thursday, January 12.According to him, the emergency market as a selling location was temporarily built after the results of the forensic laboratory (labfor) from the police.If the results of the forensic laboratory have been issued by the police, he said, the rubble of the kiosk building and the rest of the selling goods belonging to traders affected by the fire will be removed."We are still waiting for the results from the police laboratory. If so, the rubble of the buildings and used fire items will be removed immediately and a temporary emergency market will be built so that traders can return to selling," he said.Material losses due to the burning of 48 stalls at Senggol Kuripan Market, South Pekalongan, are estimated at IDR 1.2 billion."We have coordinated with the legislature to strive to immediately help deal with traders' kiosks and affected merchandise," he said.
