There Is No Term Halal Tourism, Sandiaga Promised In Front Of Koster To Support 100 Percent Of Balinese Culture-based Tourism
DENPASAR - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno stated that he supports 100 percent of tourism in Bali based on local culture.
This promise was made by Sandiaga in front of Bali Governor I Wayan Koster and Bali Deputy Governor Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardana Sukawati (Cok Ace).
Sandiaga said that while in Bali he had made visits to tourist destinations in Kuta, Badung. Sandiaga in front of Koster admitted to having discussions with tourism actors and visitors.
"I hope that in Bali we can create quality tourism with 'quality tourism'," he said, Sunday, December 27.
Sandiaga expressed admiration for the natural charm in this part of West Bali. Sandiaga admitted that he first climbed the hills at Batu Kursi Temple in Pemuteran Village, Gerokgak District, Buleleng. Sandiaga also praised the destination in Tulamben, Karangasem.
Governor Koster congratulated Sandiaga on the inauguration of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). KOster hopes that the tourism development policy on the Island of the Gods will be based on culture and local wisdom.
"So we must prioritize 'quality tourism' in Bali, so that Bali tourism runs sustainably," said Koster.
According to Koster, one way to create quality tourism in Bali is done by adhering to Balinese culture and local wisdom. Do not forget to apply health protocols with discipline.
"We want tourism governance in Bali to truly empower our chain of agricultural activities and marine products, so that the economy in Bali runs, and the benefits are felt by the local community," said Koster.
"Bali is committed to creating new tourist destinations, one of which is by carrying out the concept of marine tourism, and we ask for the support of the Minister of Tourism," he added.
Koster then talked about instructions for government agencies to ensure efforts to prevent COVID-19.
"Including acting decisively in handling disciplinary action to some foreigners / foreign tourists who were found stubbornly not wearing masks in the Kuta area," said Koster.
