JAKARTA - The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta is reviewing regulations regarding the Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) policy or electronic paid roads. The regulation will later regulate all motorized vehicles, both engine and electric fuel.
Referring to the draft Regional Regulation (Raperda) for Electronic Traffic Control (PPLE), the policy is an electronic restriction of motorized vehicles on roads, areas, and certain times. Even though it applies to all vehicles, apparently the draft stipulates exceptions for a number of certain vehicles. This is stated in Article 15 of the Raperda. The following is a list of vehicles that are exempted in Article 15 of the Raperda: a. Electric bicycle. Public motorized vehicle with yellow plates. Operational service vehicles of government agencies and the TNI/Polri except/in addition to being black-plated. Foreign country diplomatic corps vehicles. ambulance vehicles. dead vehicles. Fire fighting vehicles
Regarding tariffs, the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency has proposed the amount, which is between Rp. 5,000 to Rp. 19,900 for one pass. However, the draft states that the ERP tariff is set with the Governor's Regulation after obtaining approval from the DKI Jakarta DPRD.
