Police Wait For Psychological Test Results Of Molotov Throwers At The Mosque In Cengkareng
JAKARTA - The police took D (56) who threw Molotov to the Al-Istiqomah Mosque, Duri Kosambi, Cengkareng, West Jakarta, to undergo a psychological examination. The reason is based on the information from the middle-aged man's family having mental disorders.
"The matter is that we now refer and observe it to the psychiatrist," said Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metro Police, Kombes Yusri Yunus, to reporters, Sunday, December 27.
Later, the results of a psychological examination will determine whether this case will continue to be processed or not. The family previously apologized to the mosque management.
"The head of the village and the children of the perpetrators came to the mosque council to apologize, but we are still continuing the process because we will check the psychology of the perpetrators themselves," said Yusri.
"How will the outcome be regarding the perpetrator. We will wait for the results of the observation at the psychiatrist who has the right to say that he is mentally ill or not from an expert, of course," continued Yusri.
Previously, the man with the initials D (56) was arrested by the police for throwing Molotov cocktails at the Al-Istiqomah Mosque, Duri Kosambi, Cengkareng, West Jakarta, Saturday, December 26 evening.
The action of the man from Jatimulya, Kosambi, Tangerang Regency was quickly discovered by the residents and congregants of the mosque, then evaded when he was interrogated.
"Currently the perpetrators have been secured by the Cengkareng Police and will be handled by the West Jakarta Police," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for West Jakarta Police, Kompol Teuku Arsya Khadafi in Jakarta, Sunday, December 27.
