A New Chapter Of The Mystery Of The Death Of Akseyna Students Who Was Drowned In The UI Lake
JAKARTA - The mystery of the cause of Akseyna's death on Sunday is still unsolved. It has been almost five years since the police have been investigating, but they have not found a solution.
The Akseyna case was buried for a long time. Until finally, not long ago, the police again conducted an investigation by holding the scene of the case again.
Head of National Police DivHumas Penum Kombes Asep Adi Saputra said that during the rolling of the case, about 28 witnesses had their statements extracted. Some evidence has also been collected in order to find facts about the case that made the Srata Satu Univeritas Indonesia (UI) student a victim.
"Then the TKP has been reprocessed by Kombes Police Chief Azis Andriansyah," said Asep in Jakarta, Monday, February 4.
However, there was no explanation regarding the results of the re-investigation. The big question mark still hangs. Especially whether Akseyna deliberately threw himself into Lake Kenanga or if there were other possibilities behind it.
It's just that, Asep had said, investigators continued to work by exploring the existing evidence. Hopefully, there are new clues that can reveal the cause of Akseyna's death. "Investigators are still carrying out investigations," said Asep.
Akseyna's case began around March 26, 2015. At that time, the teenager was found lifeless wearing a backpack filled with stones. Based on preliminary investigations, it is suspected that the motive for the case was suicide.
Akseyna is said to be desperate to end her life because of depression. This allegation arose after investigators found a letter from his boarding house containing a request not to search for his whereabouts and an apology for all his mistakes.
The collapse of the motive for suicide
However, as time went on, the alleged motive for suicide seemed to crumble. The investigation conducted by the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of Polda Metro Jaya found new facts.
The shoes that Akseyna wore when they were found were said to have damaged the back. Thus, the Director of the Criminal Procedure Code, who was then held by Kombes Khrisna Murti, suspected that the teenager was a victim of drowning.
"There was a shoe of the victim when he (Akseyna) was found. The back end of his shoe was torn both left and right. It is possible that our analysis was that the victim was dragged into the lake," said Krishna at Polda Metro Jaya, Thursday, June 4, 2015.
The investigation also found bruises on Akseyna's face. Thus, it is further strengthened if the motive for suicide was not the cause of Akseyna's death. Instead, there was a perpetrator who committed the crime of murder.
"There were wounds, namely bruised lips, ears and head as well as bruises which indicate persecution occurred before the killings took place," said Khrisna.
