Private Jets And Lovers Join Joao Felix Towards London, One Step Back To Be A Chelsea Player
JAKARTA - Atletico Madrid player, Joao Felix, is getting closer to joining Chelsea. He is rumored to have flown to London to complete his move to the Premier League club.
Felix's lover, Margarida Corceiro, uploaded a photo to Instagram while on a private jet. Allegedly, he accompanied Joao to go to the British capital.
Although it is almost certain that he will join Chelsea as a loan player, there are still conditions that must be met.
The Blues will have to pay a loan fee of 10 million to bring Felix to play at Stamford Bridge for the remainder of the season.
According to Marca, the documents to confirm the transfer are almost complete. In the document, there is no option for Chelsea to make the player's move permanently.
However, the Spanish newspaper confirmed Atletico would not sign a contract yet. That's because the LaLiga giants will sue Felix to extend his contract at Wanda Metropolitano for an additional 12 months until 2027 before he is allowed to leave on loan.
The Portuguese star has three and a half years remaining in his current contract, but extending it will help Atletico balance the books.
If Felix approves a new contract, a move to Chelsea will continue after he rejects interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.
Felix joined Atletico from Benfica for 112 million in 2019, but the former Golden Boy winner did not develop as many people thought.
He only scored 34 goals in 131 appearances, but helped Atletico win La Liga in 2020-21 and was named a club player this year last season.
