The 50th Anniversary Of The PDIP We Have Been Waiting For, Megawati: Whom Do You Want To Commemorate?

PDI-P General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri said many people were waiting for the name of the presidential candidate (candidate) to be carried by her party. They are waiting for the PDIP 50th Anniversary celebration which is rumored to be the location for the announcement of the name.

"This is a 50-year ceremonial because this is what people have been waiting for to bet'sing isp, the mother of Sopo... (who wants to announce whose mother)," Megawati said when delivering her political speech during the 50th Anniversary of the PDIP at JiExpo Kemayoran, South Jakarta, Tuesday, January 10.

Megawati's statement immediately made her cadres excited. They cheered and applauded.

Even so, Megawati did not want to announce the name of the candidate who was carried by the party bearing the bull symbol. "It's just been, yo, come on first," he said with a laugh.

"At that time, I thought my mother was tempted to announce it. No," continued Megawati with a laugh.

Megawati said she did have a mandate from the 7th PDIP Congress. So, he was not in a hurry even though many were waiting for the candidate from the party bearing the bull symbol.

"I am the elected general chairman at the congress, elected by the congress, given the prerogative to determine who is nominated. He, wait for my business," he said again with a laugh and accompanied by cheers from his cadres.

Previously, the chairman of the PDIP DPP, Puan Maharani, said that the name of the presidential candidate who would be carried by the party bearing the bull symbol was already in Megawati's pocket. So, he asked party cadres not to bother.

"The general chairman already has a name in his pocket, he just needs to be announced," said Puan when speaking at Technical Guidance (Bimtek) for members of the PDIP DPRD throughout Indonesia in the Central Jakarta area, Monday, January 9.

Instead of thinking about the presidential election, Puan asked the cadres to come down to meet the people. This step is more important for them to work as party officials.

"You don't have to be confused about this, you have to be that person, I think this one, I think it's that person. The survey is high, so this seems to match this one," he said.

"We party officials, our job is to win the party, not become political observers. We don't need to observe," continued Puan.
