Waiting For A Surprise At The 50th Anniversary Of The PDIP
JAKARTA - The PDI-P (PDIP) held the peak of the 50th anniversary celebration on Tuesday, January 10. This event will be held lively.
"We are showing the party's Task Force (Task Force) and also the spirit of the party band marching," said PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto in a written statement to reporters quoted on Tuesday, January 10.
In addition to celebrating the party's anniversary, this activity will be the culmination of consolidation in efforts to win the 2024 General Election. The themes taken are 'Group of the Hand of Unity with the Soul of Mutual Cooperation and the Spirit of the Fire of Struggle Nan Tak Kunjung Padam' as well as the sub-themed 'Indonesia Unity for Indonesia Raya'.
President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will also attend with other invited guests. However, PDIP did not invite the general chairman of the party because this activity was internal.
PDIP DPP chairman Puan Maharani said PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri would indeed give a surprise. Moreover, no one knows the contents of the 5th President's speech in front of his cadres.
And that surprise could be in the form of announcing the name of the presidential candidate carried out by PDIP.
"If then tomorrow suddenly there is a surprise whose name will be the candidate for the PDI-P presidential candidate or vice presidential candidate, it is possible," said Puan in the Central Jakarta area, Monday, January 9.
Moreover, in his remarks at the Technical Guidance (Bimtek) event, PDIP DPRD members said Megawati had a name in her pocket. However, this name has not been announced because it is waiting for the right time.
"The General Chairperson already has a name in his pocket, just keep it quantized. So you don't have to look to the left and right. Don't be confused, you have to be this one," he said at the time.
Meanwhile, Hasto on a separate occasion stated that there had been no leak regarding the name of the candidate Megawati chose. This at the same time dismissed the issue that the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo would be announced as a presidential candidate in the 50th Anniversary of the PDIP.
"There has been no leak yet. Regarding who will be announced by Mrs. Megawati," he said.
"The leak is only (the name of the candidate is announced, red) in 2023," continued Hasto.
Although there have been no leaks, Hasto said that this candidate must of course meet a number of criteria. Among them, that figure should be someone who has an ideology to be able to bear responsibility.
"There are so many criteria that have been conveyed by Mrs. Mega and the path of the Pancasila ideology. Although it is steep and winding, it will also continue to be declared a fire of fighting spirit from Mrs. Megawati," he concluded.
