JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Task Force released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 35,377 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 345 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,723,812 people and active cases have dropped by 302 to 8,066 cases," said COVID-19 Task Force data, Monday, January 9.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 81 cases and a total of 1,537,460 cases. Followed by West Java which has 56 new cases with a total of 1,233,448 cases. Central Java has 24 new cases and a total of 655,527 cases. Banten has 24 new cases and a total of 365,355 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 153 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an additional 72 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 68 recovered cases, and West Java with an additional 51 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 114,205,857.
"Positive results per number of people examined or this week's positivity rate of 1.91 percent", he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 1,296 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
Furthermore, currently there are 204,080,880 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 174,854,075 the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 68,771,161 and the fourth dose was 1,193,489. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
