The Police Pengerempet Who Crashed Into A Motorist At The Sunday Market Was Named A Suspect
JAKARTA - The Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya has named a suspect in a traffic accident case involving police officers at Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta.
Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Director Kombes Pol Sambodo Purnono Yogo said that his party had named a BNI employee driving a Hyundai car with the initials H as a suspect.
"Based on the results of the case title, the accident investigator at the Traffic Police of the Jakarta Metro Police has named brother H, the Hyundai driver, as the suspect in this accident," Sambodo said in South Jakarta, Saturday, December 26.
As a result of this accident, the person with the initials H received suspicion in Article 311 Paragraph 5 of the UULAJ. In this article, it is stated that every person who deliberately drives a motorized vehicle in a way or in a dangerous way that causes another person to die, can be punished with a maximum imprisonment of 12 years or a fine of Rp. 24 million.
Meanwhile, the police officer with the initials IC who was involved in the accident and hit the motorcyclist to death is still a witness.
Sambodo said, this determination was strengthened by evidence obtained from the results of the case title. The evidence is in the form of CCTV footage obtained from a shop around the scene, information on sakis, and evidence of vehicle damage.
"The suspect admitted that he tried to stop the Innova car driven by Aiptu IC in order to hold him accountable because the suspect previously admitted to having been beaten by Aiptu IC," said Sambodo.
In addition, there were 2 witnesses who saw a Hyundai car driven by H overtake from the left and then hit the Aiptu IC car, thus losing control. Then, the car crosses the lane and hits the motorbike in the opposite direction.
"This is reinforced by evidence of damage to the Hyundai car. The damage extends from the side of the front door to the right near the wheels to the rear. Then there is paint that sticks to the Innova vehicle due to a rubbing mark on the left front of the vehicle," he explained.
For information, on Friday, December 25, there was a traffic accident that started with a Hyundai car driven by a BNI employee with the initials H grazing a Toyota Innova driven by a member of the South Jakarta Metro Police with the initials Aiptu IC in the Pasar Minggu area, South Jakarta.
According to witnesses, prior to the collision, the car driven by the police was involved in an argument with a Hyundai driver. There was a chase from Pejaten, until the Innova car went out of control.
As a result of this drag, the Toyota Innova car driven by Aiptu IC bounced to the right until it hit a road divider and drove against the direction on Jalan Raya Ragunan. The car that was traveling in the opposite direction hit two motorcyclists.
After crashing into two Yamaha Mio and Honda Vario motorbikes, the Aiptu IC car was still walking to the right and hit a parked Honda Revo motorcycle, and finally hit the concrete fence of the shop house.
A total of five vehicles were involved in the accident, namely two units of four-wheeled vehicles and three motorbikes. One person, the Vario B-3036-EPV motorbike rider named Pinkan Lumintang, died.
