3,018 Tourists Visiting The Thousand Islands During Christmas Holidays
JAKARTA - A total of 3,018 tourists visited the Thousand Islands, DKI Jakarta, during the Christmas holidays, December 24-25, 2020.
"On December 24 there were 1,355 people, while December 25 there were 1,663 people. five of them are foreign tourists, "said Head of the Seribu Islands Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-dept. Puji Hastuti, quoted by Antara, Saturday.
Puji explained that the tourists came from various piers including Kaliadem, Tanjung Pasir, Rawasaban and Marina Ancol.
Each departure pier is closely monitored by joint officers from the Regional Apparatus Organization and related agencies to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the Thousand Islands.
He also collaborates with other agencies to monitor health protocols related to tourist sites, which are set as strict controls by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.
It is recorded that several tourist sites for the Thousand Islands have been designated as locations for strict control, namely Sakura Beach, Taman Arsa Beach, Cinta Bridge, Virgin Sand Beach, Matahari Beach and Bintang Beach.
"Through strict supervision, health protocols are followed and the spread of COVID-19 can be controlled," said Puji.
