JAKARTA - A mixed martial arts athlete at ONE Championship Victoria Lee died at the age of 18. The cause of death of the young fighter in the atomweight class is still mysterious.
Victoria reportedly breathed her last on December 26, 2022. Angela's eldest sister, who is also a mixed martial arts athlete, confirmed the news on Instagram social media.
"On December 26, 2022, our family experienced something that no other family should have experienced. It's very difficult to say this. Victoria we died," wrote Angela, quoted by The Sun.
Victoria Lee's death in Hawaii was publicly announced by the Valley of the Temples Memorial Park at Kaneohe on Friday. However, the cause of death was not published.
Victoria, who was born in Hawaii, represents the United States and Singapore as members of the MMA and Evolve MMA United teams. He is listed as an assistant instructor at the Evolve MMA, a self-defense gym network in Singapore.
"He left too soon and our family was completely devastated since then. We miss him. More than anything in this world. Our family will never be the same again. Life will never be the same again," Angela wrote.
