DKI Jakarta Adds COVID-19 Inspection Lab, Records 80 Locations
JAKARTA - The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta has added a number of laboratories for testing COVID-19. Currently, there are a total of 80 locations that can become community references for conducting PCR swabs.
Judging from the Instagram of the DKI Health Office, 80 PCR labs have been determined by the Ministry of Health since last December 16.
"This network laboratory has met the requirements set by the Indonesian Ministry of Health through the Minister of Health's Decree No. 9487/2020 concerning the COVID-19 Laboratory Network," wrote a statement on the @dinkesdki Instagram account quoted on Saturday, December 26.
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government divides two categories of PCR swab examination laboratories in Jakarta, namely paid laboratories, which can be carried out by the community independently by visiting direct locations. Then, there is also a free examination laboratory.
"For free laboratories, swab examinations are mandatory through health service facilities in DKI Jakarta in the context of tracing contacts and follow-up treatments," said the statement.
