Dark Angel Will Play All Songs On Depam Descendants Album At A Concert In Los Angeles
JAKARTA - California's thrash metal troop Dark Angel will perform all the songs on their legendary album, Depam Descendants at a special concert at the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles, California on April 14.
Meanwhile, last fall, Dark Angel drummer Gene Hoglan spoke on the podcast "Poppitt's Corner" about the band's plans to create new music.
"We've played a lot of live shows, and we tend to play at the festival because it's the best. We're writing our next album, and I've concentrated on writing that, and [guitarist] Jim Durkin is also writing," said Hoglan.
"Right now, Jim has to rest from some live shows, but it (making new music) is always in our system.
"We're just writing, and we're just trying to make it the most aggressive Dark Angel music we can make," he added.
Last August, Hoglan told Oxygyg's Radio's Metal Zone he and his bandmates hope to release a new album Dark Angel by the middle of this year.
Dark Angel's first CD since Time Does Not Heal (1991) will feature a line-up that has performed live sporadic performances since uniting in 2013: Hoglan, Durkin, Eric Meyer (guitar), Ron Rinehart (vocals) and Michael Gonzalez (bass).
Durkin missed some of Dark Angel's recent performances. He was replaced by Hoglan's wife, Laura Christine.
