Turkish Detailed Drone Successful Missile Launch Test With Laserguide

JAKARTA - Turkey's newest unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV), Bayraktar Ak bignny, carrying a CATS camera made by Aselsan, the Turkish defense giant, successfully carried out a test fire using an Aselsan laser guide, hitting the target with the right accuracy.

Kit is an integrated laser guide with the MK-82 bomb, also developed by Aselsan, and used in the test fire. This Kit converts the 227 kilogram (500 pounds) MK-82 bomb and 2 tons of MK-84 into a cost-effective and highly reliable smart weapon.

According to the company, guide lasers provide increased accuracy, delivery range, guaranteed reduced damage to retargeting capabilities after launches to stationary and mobile targets, reported Daily Sabah December 30.

The Kit consists of a semi-active laser finder (SAL), guide section, thermal battery, cannard control system, and rear wing.

This guidance technology reduces the amount of ammunition needed to destroy targets, showcases the accuracy, reliability and effectiveness of costs, previously unattainable with conventional weapons.

It is known, UCAV Aktronc fire can fly for 24 hours, capable of reaching an altitude of 40,000 feet (12,192 meters), with a wingspan of 20 meters and a capacity to carry a load of 1,350 kilograms.

Ak bignny akan dilengkapi dengan radar active electronically scanned array (AESA), hingga rudal udara-keudara G\"okdo haluman dan Bozdo harus, termasuk beberapa jenis mulunisi buatan lokal seperti rudal standoff.
