The number of personnel deployed in Operation Lilin 2020 was 123,451 joint police-TNI personnel and related stakeholders throughout Indonesia. The deployment of personnel is focused on securing bus terminals, airports, stations, ports, churches, tourist attractions and homecoming routes.

Unlike previous years, this year's Christmas services and mass are limited so that the number of congregants attending is between 20-30 percent of the capacity of the church building while other congregations can attend services online.

In addition to maintaining security, Operation Lilin 2020 officers are also present to ensure that the public continues to adhere to health protocols to prevent Covid-19 transmission.

Azis has also issued an edict numbered Mak / 4 / XII / 2020 concerning Compliance with Health Protocols in the Implementation of the 2020 Christmas Holidays and the New Year 2021 dated 23 December 2020.

The Chief of Police's declaration aims to break and prevent the chain of spread of Covid-19 during the long year-end holiday considering that the handling of the spread of Covid-19 nationally has not been fully controlled and has the potential to develop widely in society.

Through this Declaration, Aziz asked not to hold gatherings / activities that invite large crowds in public places in the form of Christmas celebrations and religious activities outside places of worship, New Year's Eve parties / celebrations, parades, parades and carnivals as well as fireworks lighting parties. .
