After Being Arrested By The Police, Apparently The Motive For The AD Was To Cancel The Eid Al-Adha Animal Money In Bukittinggi Due To Debt

The Bukittinggi Police, West Sumatra Police, revealed the motive for the fraud of the Eid al-Adha sacrificial animal in Bukittinggi. The perpetrator's initials AD (36) was apparently in debt, so he used the contribution of the sacrificial participants to pay it off."So according to a temporary investigation, the motive for the perpetrator was due to debt," said Acting (Plt) Bukittinggi Police Chief AKBP Wahyuni Sri Lestari in Bukittinggi, quoted from Antara, Thursday, January 5.The remaining money that was taken away by the perpetrator was spent on the daily needs of the last one living in Surabaya, East Java."The total loss of Eid al-Adha sacrificial participants is around Rp. 255 million, the perpetrator admitted that he had worked as a Sablon driver while in Surabaya," he also said.According to him, AD was arrested through a persuasive police approach through several parties, including the family which was finally secured in Padang Panjang City on Tuesday (3/1)."The investigation is still ongoing, including checking proof of transfers and savings books," he also said.The Army expressed regret for the case he experienced and shocked the resident of Bukittinggi City."I'm sorry, I'm ready to take responsibility, God willing, I will also try to compensate for all the losses," he said.The suspect AD was threatened with Article 378 in conjunction with 372 of the Criminal Code with a threat of four years in prison.The case of sacrificial animals occurred in Bukittinggi City to coincide with Eid al-Adha on Saturday, July 9, 2022.Dozens of worshipers suffered losses, because the sacrificial animals that had been ordered and paid did not come on the day of slaughter.Losses at Mushala Baitul Jannah with five cows and two goats, Alumni SMAN 3 with five cows, and Mushala At Taufik with two cows and Bunda Hospital with one cow.
