After The Water-Mixed Pertalite Case That Makes Several Vehicles Mogok, Pertamina Temporarily Closes One Of The Gas Stations In Karawang
Pertamina Patra Niaga as the distributor of fuel oil (BBM) apologized for the mixed water Pertalite type fuel incident that occurred at gas stations 34,413,06 Amansari Village, Rengasdengklok District, Karawang Regency on Tuesday, January 3, 2022 at 12.32 WIB.
"Pertamina apologizes for the inconvenience that has occurred," said Area Manager Communication, Relation & CSR West Java Regional Pertamina Patra Niaga, Eko Kristiawan to VOI, Thursday, January 5.
Eko revealed that this incident started when a motorcyclist came to the gas station to submit a complaint because his motorbike could not be started after filling in Pertalite.
The consumer tested the condition of his motorbike by taking samples of fuel that entered the motorcycle tank and was properly mixed with water. This condition is justified by the mechanics who was deliberately brought by the gas station to check.
He continued, the gas station immediately checked the fuel storage tank which was suspected of being hit by rainwater seepage and the current condition was sterile, the fuel storage tank had been re-examined and dried from the remaining water.
"The gas station has provided compensation to consumers who filled Pertalite fuel at that time," he added.
Then, he said, the gas station manager had coordinated with law enforcement officials from the Rengasdengklok Police.
"Currently, gas stations have stopped operating for further handling and for fuel filling services, people can go to the nearest gas station, namely 34,413,25 gas stations and 34,413,31 Rengasdengklok gas stations," he concluded.
