Case Of People Burned At Jelambar Bridge In Investigation, Police Do Not Find CCTV At The Incident Location
The police are still investigating the arson case that left one person dead and another injured in Penjaringan, North Jakarta.
Penjaringan Police Chief Commissioner M. Probandono Bobby Danuardi said there were a few difficulties in revealing the identity of the perpetrator. Because according to Bobby, at the scene there were no surveillance cameras or CCTV.
"Still in the process of being chased. There is no CCTV at the location (occurrence). The location is on the edge of the river," Bobby said in a short message, Thursday, January 5.
In addition, survivors cannot be questioned because they are still undergoing treatment at the hospital.
"We can't ask for information yet because it's still being treated at the Duta Indah Hospital," he said.
Bobby also said that his party had examined four witnesses at the scene.
"There have been 4 witnesses (examined)," he concluded.
It is known that S (39) died and D (38) was injured after being burned by an unknown person at Jelambar Bridge, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, Wednesday, January 4.
The incident occurred when the two victims were walking at the scene and suddenly an unknown person came to water the two victims with gasoline, then set them on fire.
S did not survive such severe burns. Meanwhile, D threw himself in the river and survived despite serious burns.
The death toll is still in the autopsy process. Meanwhile, victim D underwent treatment at Duta Indah Hospital.
