COVID-19 Update As Of December 24: 7,199 New Positive Cases And 5,277 Recovered People
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has released data on developments in handling COVID-19. A total of 61,068 specimens were examined today, the results found 7,199 new positive cases.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 692,838 people," quoted from data from the Ministry of Health, Thursday, December 24.
Meanwhile, the cases recovered increased by 5,277. That way the total will be 563,980 people who have recovered from COVID-19. Meanwhile, the number of cases died increased by 181 to 20,589 people.
On the other hand, provincial data with the highest number of positive cases were in DKI Jakarta. Based on data, as many as 1,933 people in the capital have tested positive for COVID-19. So that the total residents who have been infected have become 169,775 people.
Then, other provinces with a high number of positive cases were still in Central Java with 891 cases. Then, East Java with 734 cases and West Java with 702 cases.
Meanwhile, the province with the most recovered cases was also occupied by DKI Jakarta with 1,347 cases. Then, East Java with 572 cases, South Sulawesi with 505 cases, West Java with 492 cases, and Central Java with 421 cases.
So far, only 1 province has added cases under 10, namely North Maluku with 9 positive cases. In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 6,987,576. In detail, as many as 6,867,124 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 120,452 specimens using molecular rapid tests (TCM).
"For the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it is recorded at 68,219 people. Currently, 510 regencies / cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases," he wrote.
