Sandiaga Said, Hotel Occupancy During Christmas And New Year Holidays Filled With 100 Percent
JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf), Sandiaga Unome said, the tourism sector and the creative economy (Parekraf) had an extraordinary harvest during the Christmas and New Year holidays. The hotel occupancy rate is also full of up to 100 percent.
"And after receiving some news, that in leading tourist destinations, tourist destinations such as Bandung, Yogyakarta, Solo and Bali, favorite hotels in tourist destinations are full of 100 percent," said Sandiaga Uno, Tuesday, January 3.
Sandiaga Uno continued, part of the overall room occupancy rate reached 80 to 90 percent, namely during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
As for the southern and northern coastal areas of Java Island, there was a reduction at the Nataru moment. This is because at the end of the year there was extreme weather that hit a number of areas in Indonesia.
"Unfortunately, due to extreme weather that occurred at the end of the year, there was a slight decline in coastal and northern areas of Java Island. Due to concerns about extreme weather," explained Sandiaga Uno.
Furthermore, said Sandiaga Uno, the government's decision to revoke the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) will have a positive impact on performance in the tourism sector and the creative economy (Parekraf).
He said this was because community activities and mobility, including tourists, were no longer limited. So that people who want to travel can freely, because there are no more restrictions.
"I want to convey that there is good news, namely yesterday the President announced the end of PPKM. This is because of course we are able to control the pandemic," said Sandiaga Uno.
According to Sandiaga Uno, this decision will further increase the interest and trust of tourists, both domestic and foreign tourists, to travel to #IndonesiaAja.
Then he also believes that the target of achieving domestic tourists, which has doubled, reaches 1.4 billion movements and foreign tourists to 7.4 million foreign tourists.
