The Tourism Office of Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, has deployed 511 personnel to anticipate a surge in tourists vacationing at a number of tourist objects and to monitor health protocols during the Christmas and New Year 2021 holidays.
Head of the Gunungkidul Tourism Office Asti Wijayanti said as many as 511 personnel came from various elements, ranging from the apparatus, Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), sub-districts, villages, SAR, to the community.
"All of these personnel will work fully for 11 days, from December 24, 2020 to January 3, 2020," Asti said as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, December 23.
Asti said, these personnel will be assigned directly to tourist destinations. The special task given is to directly monitor the discipline of tourist health protocols at the tourist objects visited. "Personnel who are deployed will be deployed to tourist objects to monitor the implementation of health protocols. The safety and health of tourists can be more guaranteed," he said.
Asti said that all tourist destinations are ready with the implementation of health protocols. Especially in terms of supporting facilities, ranging from hand washing stations to loudspeakers.
"Now we remind you about 4M, namely wearing a mask, washing hands, keeping your distance, and avoiding crowds," said Asti.
Previously, the Secretary of the Gunung Kidul Tourism Office, Harry Sukmono, said that the Gunung Kidul Tourism Office was targeting the number of visits at the end of this year to be 204,822 visitors.
