Polda Metro Jaya Fired 45 Recalcitrant Police, 416 Members Received Awards
JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya fired or disrespectfully dismissed 45 personnel throughout 2020. The dismissal was carried out due to involvement in various irregularities and violations.
"A total of 45 personnel will be sentenced to PTDH during 2020," said Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran, at the Metro Jaya Meeting Hall, reported by Antara, Wednesday, December 23.
Fadil said the number of members affected by PTDH sanctions increased by 13 percent compared to 2019. "In 2019 there were 40 people, an increase of five people or 13 percent," he added.
On the other hand, Polda Metro Jaya also noted that 416 members received awards in the form of services.
However, Fadil said the number had decreased compared to 2019, which recorded 619 personnel receiving awards. "Down 203 personnel or 33 percent," said Fadil.
On that occasion, Fadil also said that the crime rate in 2020 had decreased compared to 2019.
Based on the data collected, in 2020 there were 30,324 crimes recorded in the jurisdiction of Polda Metro Jaya, while in 2019 there were 32,614 crimes.
"The decrease in total crime was 2,290 cases and for the 'crime clearence' there was an increase of 15 percent. This is because, in 2019, there were 31,854 'crime clearances' and this year there were 34,239 cases, "said Fadil.
Fadil said the case settlement increased by 2,385 cases or 15 cases. The risk of citizens becoming victims of criminal acts also decreased by 7 percent.
According to Fadil, the most prominent crime throughout 2020 was drugs with 4,407 numbers. When compared to 2019, there was a decrease of 16 percent because last year there were 5,231 cases.
The number of cases of theft with weight in their jurisdiction has increased by 14 percent, with 2020 there were 1,456 cases and in 2019 there were 1,279 cases.
For the settlement of cases, there was an increase of 10 percent because in 2019 there were 2,145 and this year there were 2,367 cases.
Fadil said motor vehicle theft cases were in the third place, namely 1,040 cases. However, this number has decreased compared to 2019 where there were 1,138 cases or a decrease of 9 percent.
The settlement of motor vehicle theft has increased quite high, because last year there were 846 cases resolved and in 2020 there were 2,036 cases resolved or an increase of 141 percent.
"These were cases in the previous year which we managed to reveal so that there was an increase," he said.
