For The Third Time, Jake Paul And Tommy Fury Negotiated A Joint Schedule
JAKARTA - Jake Paul and Tommy Fury are back in communication to fight and are close to finding an agreement. This is the third time since the original plan was made and continues to fail.
Both have made two agendas to fight, but none have been realized in the ring. For this third, Paul and Tommy are reported to have agreed.
Talks about this match plan have been approved by both parties. Negotiations resumed shortly after Tommy Fury's brief notice in Dubai to fight Rolly Lambert last November.
Tommy Fury promoter Frank Warren has also revealed that both sides are very close to reaching a third agreement.
"Both sides are very excited to make it happen and I don't think we are far from it (the fight)," Warren told iFL TV, as quoted by The Sun, Tuesday, January 3.
"I think we are close enough to make it happen," he continued.
Tommy Fury, who is also Tyson Fury's brother, is excited about this plan. Moreover, this fight will make him receive the highest pay in his career.
"This is a fight that will make money that can change his life and obviously he (Tommy Fury) wants it," Warren explained.
Paul and Fury were first scheduled to compete in December 2021. But Fury's injury canceled the fight.
The second meeting is then scheduled to take place in August 2022. But again failed because in July Fury was actually prohibited from entering the United States.
But Warren believes it will be his third luck after the deal is done.
"It was tense, then he couldn't get into the United States which was a problem. But we will, we are really determined to make it happen,"
"All parties are really good at solving it and we will solve it," said the Queensberry promoter chief.
