Tips On How To Be Free From Alcoholic Out Of Anthony Hopkins

JAKARTA - Oscar-winning senior actor Anthony Hopkins made a 47-year anniversary that he managed to live without alcohol. With gratitude, he shared a message for those who fought alcoholism.

Hopkins said the message he conveyed only wanted to help those who might be grappling with alcohol addiction as happened to him decades ago.

I say this: Get well with yourself. Get well with yourself. Stay away from the circle of toxicity with people if they offend you. Live your life. Be proud of your life," he said in a video shared via his social media account, quoted from The Hollywood Reporter broadcast Monday, January 2 local time.

He also described how 47 years ago was in a desperate situation and had no hope of living until one day he began to realize that something was wrong with him.

"But I didn't realize that it was a kind of condition, mental, physical, emotional condition called alcoholism or addiction," he continued.

Hopkins insists he is not an expert to recover addiction. It's just that now Hopkins has found a life where no one is degrading him.

He stressed that young people who feel humiliated ignore the speech spoken by people deemed toxic. Hopkins also encouraged anyone struggling with addiction and then started talking to trusted people like counselors.

"There is a 12-step program around the world. Every city, every small city, every community, a 12-step program that can help you identify yourself. It doesn't cost anything, but it will give you a completely new life," said the film player The Father (2020).

Lastly, he said that he was not a holy man. Even so, as a former addict, Hopkins admits the experience of being free from alcohol helps him have the life he currently has.

So, wherever you are, get help. Don't be ashamed. Be proud of yourself whatever you do, don't let anyone bring you down. IMAGINE yourself like I did myself, even though I don't know anything," Hopkins said.
