Djoko Tjandra, Brigadier General Prasetijo And Anita Sentenced To Guilt, National Police Chief: Laws Are Not Sharp Downward
JAKARTA - The National Police Chief, General Idham Azis, respects the decision of the panel of judges who convicted Djoko Tjandra, Brigadier General Prasetijo Utomo and Anita Kolopaking in a case of alleged forgery of travel documents.
"The National Police respects the decision of the panel of judges on the sentences of the three defendants," Idham said in his statement, Wednesday, December 23.
General Idham emphasized that with the verdict, the internal law enforcement process was carried out professionally and indiscriminately. Any member of the National Police who is found guilty of wrongdoing will be processed according to the applicable law.
"Since the beginning, Polri's commitment was clear, the law enforcement process was not sharp downward and blunt upward, but balanced and evenly distributed to everyone," said the former Head of Criminal Investigation of the Police.
Idham emphasized that the Bhayangkara Corps is increasingly professional, modern and trusted in bureaucratic reform. Commitment to the application of reward and punishment is always put forward.
"Members who excel will certainly get an award. Those who violate the law do not hesitate to brush the rules of the law," said Idham.
In the case of alleged forgery of travel documents, the former Head of the PPNS National Criminal Investigation Agency for the National Police Brigadier General Prasetijo Utomo was sentenced to three years in prison.
Meanwhile, Djoko Tjandra was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison in this case. Meanwhile, Anita Kolopaking was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison.
