Governor Rohidin Mersyah Targets ASN Bengkulu Freely Disposing Of Al-Qur'an Letter In 2023

BENGKULU - Bengkulu Governor Rohidin Mersyah targets that by the end of 2023 all State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the Bengkulu Provincial Government are free to write the Qur'an or all have been able to read the Muslim Holy Book."We are targeting all ASN in the Bengkulu Provincial Government to be free from illiteracy or be able to read the Qur'an," said Rohidin at the Bengkulu Governor's Office, Antara, Monday. January 2.He mentioned that to implement the program, he had issued a Circular (SE) so that all heads of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) carried out Koran tests for all ASN.Currently, all ASN are undergoing a test-reading of the Qur'an by their respective OPDs and later the OPD will report the number of illiteracy ASNs on January 7, 2023.For asN who are illiteracy, a special class of Korans will be provided at the Alif Lam Mim Mosque within the Bengkulu Provincial Government, so that by the end of 2023 there will be no more ASN who are blind in the letters of the Qur'an.Rohidin hopes that all Islamic civil servants within the Bengkulu Provincial Government can make good use of the program."I ask all ASN to take this opportunity well, no need to be ashamed, uncomfortable and so on. In fact, this is a good opportunity, all ASN will definitely provide support to participate in the program well," he said.He is committed to no more ASN in the Bengkulu Provincial Government which is illiteracy or cannot read the Qur'an.The Regional Secretary of Bengkulu Province, Hamka Sabri said that the program was the governor's vision and mission from the start, but it could be realized in early 2023."The letter-free program from the start is not spontaneous and has only been realized now because there is a place for these ASNs to study the Qur'an at the Alif Lam Mim Mosque," he said.
