BANDA ACEH - The Civil Service Police Unit and Wilayatul Hisbah (Satpol PP / WH) or the Islamic Sharia police conducted outreach on the ban on New Year's Eve 2021 celebrations. Socialization was carried out to all hotels and cafes in Banda Aceh.
"We are conducting this socialization as a follow-up to the Banda Aceh Mayor's call on the prohibition of New Year's Eve celebrations," said Acting Head of Satpol PP and WH Banda Aceh, Heru Triwijanarko, in Banda Aceh, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, December 23.
During the socialization, his party submitted a sheet calling for a ban from Forkopimda Banda Aceh. The officers also provide understanding to hotel managers to coffee shops (warkop) so as not to facilitate New Year's Eve activities.
"We provide directions regarding the call, so that hotel service providers and coffee shops do not provide facilities for celebrating New Years Eve later," he said.
Heru conveyed, in the appeal of the mayor of Banda Aceh, it was conveyed about New Year's Eve which is not allowed for party activities or fun, burning firecrackers, fireworks and the like to illegal races.
"The changing of the year with a party or fun is considered contrary to the values of Islamic law enforced in Aceh, especially in Banda Aceh," said Heru.
The Banda Aceh government has also banned the sale and purchase of firecrackers, firecrackers and fireworks. All of this was done as a measure to anticipate the occurrence of fireworks.
In addition, right at New Year's Eve, his party will hold raids and patrols together with the joint military / police apparatus that has been formed.
"We conduct patrols to ensure that there is no New Year's Eve celebration with firecrackers and fireworks in Banda Aceh. Because if we don't guard it, and there is a gap, it will definitely be exploited," said Heru.
