SAR Focus Find 6 Missing Crews In The Location Of The TB Muara Sejati Ship Had Send A Hazard Signal
BABEL - The Tugboat (TB) Muara Sejati, which is suspected of drowning in the waters of the Karimata Strait, Bangka Belitung Islands (Babel), left six crews still missing. While the other four were successfully evacuated.
The head of the Pangkalpinang Basarnas, I Made Oka Astawa, said that the search for victims today was focused on the water area, which first received a signal of danger or around the Karimata Strait.
The six crew in question, Fachrul Fuazi (34), Adi Taruk Kendek (29), Lukman Nul Hakim (40), Sunardi (24), Ari Setiawan (25) and Arif Rizki Alfianto (25).
"The four crew members survived and were successfully evacuated who were swept away into the waters of the Tanjung Binga Belitung Sea, they saved themselves using liferaft", said I Made Oka in his statement, Monday, December 2, quoted by Antara.
A total of four crew members who were found safe, namely John Kakalang (66) who is the captain of the ship, Kurniawan Iman Setiaji (27) as the driver 3, Anton Mazuki (51) served in the Oilier and Asril Basri (24) as helmsman.
I Made Oka explained that the TB Muara Sejati ship had a Ketapang 1 corner loaded with new stones from Palembang since December 25, 2022, to Sanggau Port Pontianak. On December 30, his party received an alert distress from the ship.
Basarnas received 13 times LUT (Local User Terminal) related to information on the signal emission of distress alert signals from the Muara Sejati TB Ship from 06.38 WIB to 10.25 WIB.
LUT is known to be a ground segment of the COSPAS-SARSAT that serves to receive signals from satellites to take into account the position of distress alert emitted byELT (ELT, EPIRB, and PLB).
He also appealed to all shipping to really pay attention to weather conditions in sea waters which are currently in extreme condition. "Especially fishing boats must complete safety equipment," he said.
