Haikal Hassan's COVID-19 Test Results Have Changed

JAKARTA - The police referred Secretary General Habib Rizieq Shihab Center (HRS Center) Haikal Hassan to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital because he was reactive based on the results of the COVID-19 rapid test. However, actually Haikal was also declared non-reactive.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus said, Haikal Hassan had originally undergone two health checks related to COVID-19. On the rapid test, he was declared reactive but on the second examination the results were different.

"Earlier this morning, Brother Haikal, it was true that a rapid antibody test was carried out, the one concerned was reactive. Then we will continue with the next SOP to carry out a rapid antigen swab, the concerned one is non-reactive," Yusri told reporters, Wednesday, December 23.

With the difference between the two examination results, said Yusri, his party referred to Haikal Hassan for further examination of his health condition. So that, later it can be decided regarding the clarification of it.

"But to make it even more convincing because for security reasons, the officers coordinate with those concerned. Then we refer to the Police Hospital for another PCR test there," he said.

Yusri has not submitted the results of the examination related to COVID-19. However, investigators told Haikal Hassan to be self-isolated.

"We are still waiting for the results, while waiting for the results we have conveyed to those concerned that we should isolate independently while temporarily delaying the invitation to clarify," he said.
