Update On COVID-19 As Of 23 December: 7,514 New Positive Cases And 5,981 Healed
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has released data on developments in handling COVID-19. Based on examination of 52,672 specimens, 7,514 new positive cases were found.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 685,639 people," quoted from data from the Ministry of Health, Wednesday, December 23.
Meanwhile, the number of cases recovered increased by 5,981, with the total number of people recovering from COVID-19. Meanwhile, the number of cases died increased by 151 to 20,408 people.
On the other hand, provincial data with the most number of positive cases were in DKI Jakarta. Based on data, 1,954 people in the capital have tested positive for COVID-19. So that the total residents who have been infected become
167,842 people.
Then, other provinces with a high number of additional positive cases are still in West Java with 903 cases. Then, Central Java with 912 cases and East Java with 834 cases.
Meanwhile, the province with the most recovered cases was also occupied by DKI Jakarta with 1,450 cases. Then, West Java with 955 cases, East Java with 660 cases, and South Sulawesi with 606 cases.
So far, only 1 province has the addition of cases under 10. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined has reached 6,926,508. In detail, as many as 6,806,778 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 119,730 specimens using molecular rapid tests (TCM).
"For the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 66,914 people. Currently, 510 districts / cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases," he wrote.
