Add 8, Now 23 Cikampek Toll Substations Have Been Opened By Jasa Marga To Make The Flow Run Back And Forth
PT Jasa Marga Transjawa Tol has opened 23 toll booths to prevent the accumulation of vehicles through the Cikampek Main Toll Gate after the 2022 Christmas and 2023 New Year holidays.
"Jasa Marga has increased operating substations from usually 15 substations to 23 operating substations," said PT Jasa Marga President Director Transjawa Toll Rudi Kurniadi in Purwakarta, West Java, Monday, January 2.
This means that there is an additional 50 percent of toll substations operating to prevent congestion due to the backflow of vehicles passing through the Cikampek Main Toll Gate.
"This addition is a capacity of 150 percent from normal conditions," added Rudi, quoted from Antara.
Regarding the volume of vehicles passing on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road section during the 2022 Christmas and 2023 New Year holidays, Jasa Marga recorded as many as 10,380 vehicles passing on the road on Sunday (1/1).
From this data, there was an increase of 33.8 percent from the volume of traffic vehicles on normal days. In addition to adding operating substations, Jasa Marga also coordinates with the National Police to prepare traffic engineering mechanisms, such as contraflow in case of vehicle congestion on the Jakarta-Cikampek road section and to open the rest area situationally.
Compared to the volume of traffic vehicles on Christmas and New Year's previous year, he said this time there was an increase of 12.43 percent or 573,967 vehicles.
