JAKARTA - FLEUR! ended their pulses through an announcement on social media on Saturday, December 31 yesterday.
The band consisting of three women, namely Tanya (guitar, vocals), Tika (drums, vocals), Yuyi (bass, vocals) declared disbandment after five years of music.
"Hello everyone, how are you? Hopefully, before this new year you are all well reported and given smoothness in 2023," FLEUR! opened the announcement on Instagram.
"After running for five years since it started as Flower Girls, we want to announce FLEUR! stop at the end of this year."
They did not forget to thank the fans for their support over the past five years.
"Five years is not a long time, but also not a short time for a lot of things we've been working on so far," the account continued.
"We thank you as much as possible for those of you who have supported FLEUR! by coming to watch, buying our works from CDs, merchandise, cassettes, to digital albums and online FLEUR shows! We love you!"
FLEUR! formed in Jakarta under the name Flower Grils, a tribute to the band Dara Puspita. They released their debut album total FLEUR! in June last year via La Munai Records.
Through this album, FLEUR! tells about how they met and formed Flower Girls, the phenomenon of young people's lives, the story of the passing of a beloved figure, to the repetition of promises made by politicians.
Containing 11 tracks, this album featured a line of guest musicians, including Adra Karim who executed the keyboard filling in the song Break Sebat. Bilal Indrajaya (vocals) in the song Juwita Malam, and former Flower Girls personnel, Rika Putri Anjani in the song Safe Flight which was her own creation.
