More Than 600 Joint Apparatus Enlivened To Guard New Year's Eve Celebration At TMII
JAKARTA - The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta has appointed Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) as the venue to hold the peak of the 2023 New Year's Eve celebration.
East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Budi Sartono said that more than 600 joint officers were deployed to carry out security around the TMII area. "We have prepared approximately 600 troops. So the combined TNI, Polri, Satpol PP, Community Organization and others," said Pol Kombes Budi Sartono when met by media crews at TMII on Saturday, December 31.
For New Year's Eve security, two patterns will be applied, of which 400 officers will be deployed inside TMII to secure the event, and 200 other officers will be outside to anticipate traffic jams and TMII in and outflows.
To anticipate the increase in visitors, Budi Sartono explained that he had prepared a parking lot outside the TMII area.
While the chain is still using it inside TMII, if it no longer accommodates it, it will be used for places around TMII. There are 3 other points outside TMII that we have prepared," said Budi.
The TMII area itself has prepared 3 main stages that feature various entertainment performances. Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono will be present to see fireworks at the turn of the year.
