Many Loss The Community, SDCI Asks For No Vehicle Convoys On Year's Eve
JAKARTA - Youth and community who will celebrate New Year's Eve 2023 are asked not to convoy vehicles because they harm the general public, disturb road users and have the potential to cause accidents.
"Don't face the new year 2023, with the dangers that lead to disaster. It wants to be lively but vice versa," said the Training Director of Safety Defense Consultant Indonesia (SDCI), Sony Susmana, quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, December 31.
According to him, activities by using many vehicles to enliven New Year's Eve must remain in the existing corridors, namely not violating the law, harming other communities and also not disturbing the order of other road users.
convoy activities with friends seem to be a routine for the community, especially young people who still have the spirit to celebrate a thing, including the turn of New Year's Eve.
Even so, Sony hopes that the authorities will be firm in taking action against recalcitrant people who continue to carry out convoys of vehicles that do not comply with existing regulations, let alone disturb other people.
"The authorities should have brought order by not doing omission," he stressed.
On this occasion, Polda Metro also appealed to the public not to carry out convoys in Jakarta on New Year's Eve 2023 because it would implement a car free night along the Sudirman to Thamrin route.
