Rachmat Gobel Asks Public Service Managers Must Prioritize Public Safety
JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives for Industrial and Development Coordination (Koribang) Rachmat Gobel conducted air monitoring regarding weather conditions and traffic situations (traffic) and reminded public service managers to prioritize safety and services.

Gobel and the National SAR Agency (Basarnas) monitored the weather conditions in Jakarta and Banten from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Jakarta, Friday, December 30, accompanied by Sestama Basarnas Abdul Haris Achda and Major General TNI Retired IGK Manila.
As Deputy Chairman of the DPR for Korinbang, Gobel oversees Commission V of the DPR, which includes in charge of transportation and Basarnas. Therefore, in the midst of bad weather conditions as reminded by BMKG, he monitors weather conditions and traffic.

Gobel said that as a representative of the people, he wanted to ensure that all parties, in particular, Basarnas, police, the Ministry of Transportation, the public transportation fleet, and the manager of public transportation facilities were on standby and served the community as well as possible.
"The weather conditions are not friendly. Prioritize public services and safety. In the midst of the year-end holidays, all officers and public service managers must always be on standby. I appreciate the alertness of Basarnas, police, Transportation Ministry officials who are alert and alert when there is a disaster at Merak Port," he said.
"New year's Eve which falls on Sunday morning is only one day away. There will be a concentration of people and there will be a spike in traffic flow. So, you have to be alert," he said.
