"The victim was found at around 06.30 WIB at the estuary of Tanglok Beach, near the lighthouse," said Sampang Regency Government BPBD Chief Executive Asroni in Sampang, Saturday, December 31.
He said the discovery of the victim's body was first by a fisherman who reported that he had found the body of a young man to the Sampang Regency Government BPBD officers.
The next team visited the scene in accordance with the information conveyed by residents to the Sampang BPBD officers.
"After we checked, it turned out that the body that was found was indeed the young man we were looking for," he said.

The young man who was swept away by the river was named Rizal (18), a resident of Angsokah Village, Omben District, Sampang.
The accident occurred, when the victim was bathing in the river about to wash his mud-covered body.
Rizal is a "silver" busker, a busker who usually hangs out at a number of red lights in Sampang City and his body is filled with mud and silver paint.
"When he finished singing, he wanted to clean his body in the river, but then slipped and was dragged by the flood currents," he said.
The victim's friend tried to help by throwing bamboo at the victim, but at the same time the victim immediately drowned, because he could not swim.
"Thank you to those who have helped search for victims of residents who have been swept away by river currents so far, such as friends from the police, TNI, Satpol-PP and the Sampang Regency Government Transportation Agency, as well as fishing communities who also helped the officers," said Asroni.
