Russia Implemented Massive Bombing In Kyiv To Kharkiv, Ukrainian Foreign Minister: Non-Immunicable Human Rights
JAKARTA - Russia fired another number of missiles at Ukraine Thursday morning, targeting Kyiv, northeastern city of Kharkiv and other cities in massive aerial bombings that sent people rushing to shelters and turning off power, Ukrainian authorities said.
In Kyiv, a team of emergency workers searched through the rubble of residents' homes destroyed by the explosion, with footage showing traces of missile smoke left in the sky over the capital. In Kharkiv, firefighters were working to extinguish the blaze at the power station.
"Unreasonable barbarism. It is the only word that comes to mind seeing Russia launch another series of missiles in peaceful Ukrainian cities ahead of the New Year," Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba tweeted.
Airstrike sirens were heard across the country and in Kyiv were heard for five hours - in one of the longest war alarms
The Ukrainian military said it shot down 54 missiles from 69 launched by Russia in an attack that started at 7 a.m. local time..
"This morning, the aggressor launched air and sea-based cruise missiles, anti-aircraft missiles and the S-300 ADMS at our country's energy infrastructure facility," wrote top Ukrainian general Valery Zaluzhny, on Telegram.
Meanwhile, Brigadier General Oleksify Hromov of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said missiles were fired at "critical infrastructure and energy facilities in the eastern, central, western and southern regions".
Senseless barbarism. These are the only words that come to mind seeing Russia launch another missile barrage at peaceful Ukrainian cities ahead of New Year. There can be no ‘neutrality’ in the face of such mass war crimes. Pretending to be ‘neutral’ equals taking Russia’s side.

Kyiv City's military administration said two private homes in the Darnytskyi district were damaged by fractions of guided and business missiles and playgrounds were also damaged. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said 16 missiles were shot down over the capital and three people injured.
Separately, Mayor Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov said officials were clarifying what had been hit and whether there were casualties, while Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi said on Telegram, about 90 percent of his city in western Ukraine was without electricity. Missiles have damaged the energy infrastructure unit.
In the Odesa region, southwest of Ukraine, air defense units shot down 21 missiles, his governor Maksym Marchenko said. A broken missile hit the residential building, although no casualties were reported, he added.
The attack came after an attack last night by a 'kamakaze' drone. Russia has carried out many waves of airstrikes in recent months in Ukraine's critical infrastructure, causing millions of people to be without electricity and heat in freezing temperatures.
In addition, the latest attack came strongly after the Kremlin's rejection of Ukraine's peace plan, insisting that Kyiv should accept Russian annexation of the four Ukrainian territories.
Moscow has repeatedly denied targeting civilians, but Ukraine said its daily bombings destroyed cities, state electricity, medical infrastructure and other infrastructure.
