Disaster Mitigation, 2 Kumpul Points In Mataram NTB Will Be Ratified Tomorrow
NTB - Mataram City in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) will have two disaster gathering points as an effort to mitigate potential natural disasters. Both points will be inaugurated tomorrow Friday, December 30.
Head of the Housing Division of the Housing and Settlement Areas (Disperkim) of Mataram City, Lalu Agus Supriadi, said the two points were located in theohers of Sandubaya and Kamasan sub-districts, Selaparang sub-districts.
"This activity is also combined with the handover of house keys to 85 families (KK) who received a new development program (PB) for uninhabitable houses from the central government with a budget of Rp35 million per family," he said in Mataram, NTB, Thursday, December 29, confiscated by Antara.
Then Agus said, the cost of building a gathering point in Pengempel was Rp. 6 billion, while in Kamasan it was Rp. 7 billion. The budget for development was extracted from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN), and the land was provided by the local government.
He added that the gathering point that was built in the Pengempel and Kamasan environment was shaped like a hall with earthquake-resistant construction. Equipped with clean water facilities, toilets and the construction of evacuation routes.
The gathering point was built around an earthquake-prone environment, including Gontoran, Tegal, Kamasan and Monjok. The area was badly affected when the earthquake occurred in Lombok in 2018. With the gathering point, it is hoped that it will reduce the risk of natural disasters.
"This gathering point is purely carried out by the central government through the ministry, both budget and tender. So we only prepare land and coordination," he said.
Then Agus said that after the inauguration there would be a handover from the Central Government to the Mataram City Government. Then in the management, a group of management users (KPP) will be formed from the area for various social activities.
For example, he said, if there is no disaster, the gathering point could be a temporary place for early childhood education (PAUD) or as a place for wedding receptions or other activities.
"KPP will manage or coordinate using the gathering point in the form of a multipurpose hall," he said.
