West Papua Police Chief Instruction The Arrest Of KKB Members Life Or Death
PAPUA - West Papua Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Daniel TM Silitonga ordered the arrest of armed criminal groups (KKB) both alive and dead.
Daniel's instruction was addressed to his staff to take firm action against the KKB which is still spreading terror against civilians in Maybrat, Southwest Papua.
"We are on alert to face the KKB in Maybrat. The point is that the criminals must be arrested alive or dead," said Daniel in Manokwari, Wednesday evening, December 28, as reported by Antara.
He left a message to his staff not to be careless in dealing with the KKB terror.
Furthermore, Daniel denied the news that Maybrat had been controlled by the Papuan KKB. He emphasized that Maybrat was in a conducive situation with the security of Polri and TNI personnel.
"The National Police and the TNI conducted periodic evaluations with the Maybrat Regency Government so that we ensure that the video circulating about the KKB controlling Kmurakek District is not true," said Daniel.
He said that Polri and TNI officers routinely patrol to maintain security and order in Maybrat. "If the confession video controls Kmurkek on Christmas Eve, that's not true. It could be because it's dark they admit to making a video. However, at 06.00 all personnel make sure the conditions there are safe," he said.
It is known that the KKB, which is still nesting in the Maybrat to Bintuni areas, West Papua, still often spreads terror against civilians and security forces.
The police have spread the identities of a number of KKB members who are on the wanted list (DPO) in a series of previous attacks on military posts and civilian road construction workers.
