Christmas And New Year Holidays, Police Provide Free Antigen Rapid Test Service

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya opened dozens of antigen rapid test health service posts in the border area during the long Christmas and New Year 2020 holidays. The goal is to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 and the emergence of new clusters.

"30 service posts and personnel that we are involved in here," said the Head of Public Relations at Polda Metro Jaya, Tuesday, December 22.

Yusri said the dozens of service posts were divided into two. The first is in the Jakarta area. Then, the rest were scattered throughout the border area.

"This includes services at train stations, airports, and also at bus terminals," he said.

Dozens of health posts will provide services for free. In addition, the purpose of establishing the post is also to disentangle the crowd of people who want to carry out rapid tests at airports or other public facilities.

"Including the toll roads, we will also make a drive thru there, so a drive thru swab is either antibody or antigen to the public," continued Yusri.

However, Yusri has not been able to clearly explain the implementation mechanism. Everything is still being prepared.

"We'll see what kind of people will depart. But we will do everything possible," he said.
