Revenue Melesat 148 Percent, Regional Budget Jakarta Surplus IDR 889 Trillion
JAKARTA - The performance of the state budget in DKI Jakarta Province is said to continue to show strengthening throughout this year.
This can be seen from the realization of regional revenue and APBN grants until November 30, 2022, reaching IDR 1,435.8 trillion.
Head of Internal Compliance, Law and Information Division of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of State Assets of DKI Jakarta Didik Hariyanto said that figure reached 148.5 percent of the target set by the government.
"This increase was supported by an increase in tax realization by 48.7 percent due to fluctuating trends in oil and gas prices and commodities as well as demand that continues to improve from domestic and foreign countries," he said in a written statement on Wednesday, December 28.
In terms of the realized spending ceiling of IDR 563.9 trillion or 78.8 percent of the ceiling which affected the regional surplus of IDR 889.2 trillion, equivalent to 330.8 percent of the target.
"Realization has decreased by 6.6 percent but has increased in capital expenditures, personnel expenditures, and social expenditures compared to the same period the previous year," he said.
In terms of inflation, Didik said that the capital city area recorded a level of 0.05 percent month to month (mtm), 3.64 percent year to date (ytd), and 4.11 percent year on year (yoy).
"In the third quarter of 2022, household consumption experienced growth of 5.71 percent yoy in line with economic growth of 5.94 percent yoy. The government through APBN spending will continue to encourage increased welfare for the community," he stressed.
Didik added that the government is also committed to supporting the empowerment of MSMEs in the DKI Jakarta area through the distribution of people's business loans (KUR).
He said, until last month the realization of KUR reached IDR 10.7 trillion to 205,705 debtors, and the distribution of ultra micro (UMi) financing which reached IDR 389.6 billion to 92,238 debtors.
Furthermore, Sri Mulyani's subordinate revealed that the large trade sector was still growing positively and continued the momentum of economic improvement.
"This is the effect of commodity price fluctuations that contribute to revenue donations from VAT which are higher than other types of tax revenues," he continued.
Didik also conveyed that the APBN firmly participates in dealing with extreme poverty, stunting, food security and disaster risk in DKI Jakarta.
"APBN in the capital city has disbursed Rp10.2 trillion to overcome a number of these challenges," he concluded.
