Viral High Waves In Ancol To Spices On Road, Management Calls Hoaks

JAKARTA - A viral video on social media shows high waves occurring in the Ancol area, North Jakarta due to extreme weather.

In the video uploaded by the Instagram account @Jakutinfo, Wednesday, December 28, it appears that the atmosphere on Ancol beach is quite tense. Because high waves occur, causing sea water to spill onto the road.

The narrative states that the incident occurred on Tuesday, December 27, at 20.24 WIB.

Head of Corporate Communications of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk Ariyadi Eko said that the video was not true or a hoax. According to him, on Tuesday, December 27, the weather was sunny and conducive.

"That's a hoax. Last night Ancol was bright and the reaction activity took place conducively," Eko said in a short message, Wednesday, December 28.

Eko also said that when the weather was monitored this morning it was sunny. There is no sign of extreme weather.

"This morning's condition was also observed to be conducive," he concluded.
